The ACTA is an international trade agreement currently negociated by the European Union, the United States, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Australia as well as a few other countries, whose aim is to enforce copyright and tackle counterfeited goods (hence its acronym: Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement). Giving Back to the Scene

Posted By Max on January 16th, 2010

Hey everyone,

The homebrew scene has given me a lot over the years, taught me C/C++, some ARM ASM, some C#, and various other things. I want to give back to the scene by offering something to people wishing to gain what I did (and still am) from the scene. I’m now offering free hosting for anyone who has a homebrew related project (or general technology related things). With this deal you get:

  • Unlimited Storage Space
  • Unlimited Bandwidth
  • Unlimited MySQL databases
  • Unlimited email
  • I can host your domain(s)
  • Unlimited subdomains

All of it for free. There are a few basic restrictions:

  • Nothing illegal in the US or Canada.
  • No porn.
  • Must actually use it.
  • Must be secure (Not an entrace for hackers).
  • Must follow my host’s rules (http://vexxhost.com/aup.htm)

Also, if you are looking forward to AIMDS, send an email to aimds[at]teendev.org so I can get an idea of how many people will actually use it.

Happy New Year 2010!

Posted By Max on January 1st, 2010

Hey everyone and happy 2010. It’s been an eventful few days. An Egyptian hacker got into my FTP. He then proceeded to upload a phishing site. The bank he was phishing found out, told my host, I got suspended, and spent the next few days trying to rectify the situation. Thanks Egyptian hacker. You just got Africa, Asia, and South America banned from accessing any site I host. I would like to thank Brian V. of Vexxhost who helped me resolve the whole “hacked” thing. Hopefully your New Year’s celebrations did not involve support tickets like mine did.

I was hit with a stroke of luck this Christmas. I finally got a new computer, one that will be with me for the next decade. It will allow me to have less problems with software development. No more worrying about losing source code. All my projects are on hold right now as I figure out how I will set up my new environment. I do not have a copy of Windows right now, so PPC development will be stopped until I get Windows 7. Nintendo DS projects will resume as soon as I get the environment set up. Also, I have reopened my PayPal account, so donations are being accepted again.

Hope it will be a good year!
