The ACTA is an international trade agreement currently negociated by the European Union, the United States, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Australia as well as a few other countries, whose aim is to enforce copyright and tackle counterfeited goods (hence its acronym: Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement). The main problem with this treaty is that all the negociations [...]

Razer Naga: Possible Review in the future.

Posted By Max on May 25th, 2010

Hey readers!

In the past few months since I’ve gotten my custom built computer, I’ve been really getting in to the realm of PC gaming a lot more. I’ve been playing a lot of Modern Warefare 2, GTA IV, GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City, Counter-Strike: Source, the list goes on. I’m starting to think about upgrading my hardware from the basic USB media keyboard and optical mouse to equipment more tailored to gaming. I’m already in the process of aquiring a G15 gaming keyboard which will provide tons of fun programming the display. I also started researching mice for use in gaming environments when I found a great little devil coming out soon. It’s called the Razer Naga and it’s a pretty great looking mouse. It’s got 12 programmable macro keys on the side that look pretty awesome. If I end up getting one, I will be sure to review it here for all you PC gamers out there. If you wanna check it out, click on the link below.

Giving Back to the Scene

Posted By Max on January 16th, 2010

Hey everyone,

The homebrew scene has given me a lot over the years, taught me C/C++, some ARM ASM, some C#, and various other things. I want to give back to the scene by offering something to people wishing to gain what I did (and still am) from the scene. I’m now offering free hosting for anyone who has a homebrew related project (or general technology related things). With this deal you get:

  • Unlimited Storage Space
  • Unlimited Bandwidth
  • Unlimited MySQL databases
  • Unlimited email
  • I can host your domain(s)
  • Unlimited subdomains

All of it for free. There are a few basic restrictions:

  • Nothing illegal in the US or Canada.
  • No porn.
  • Must actually use it.
  • Must be secure (Not an entrace for hackers).
  • Must follow my host’s rules (http://vexxhost.com/aup.htm)

Also, if you are looking forward to AIMDS, send an email to aimds[at]teendev.org so I can get an idea of how many people will actually use it.

Happy New Year 2010!

Posted By Max on January 1st, 2010

Hey everyone and happy 2010. It’s been an eventful few days. An Egyptian hacker got into my FTP. He then proceeded to upload a phishing site. The bank he was phishing found out, told my host, I got suspended, and spent the next few days trying to rectify the situation. Thanks Egyptian hacker. You just got Africa, Asia, and South America banned from accessing any site I host. I would like to thank Brian V. of Vexxhost who helped me resolve the whole “hacked” thing. Hopefully your New Year’s celebrations did not involve support tickets like mine did.

I was hit with a stroke of luck this Christmas. I finally got a new computer, one that will be with me for the next decade. It will allow me to have less problems with software development. No more worrying about losing source code. All my projects are on hold right now as I figure out how I will set up my new environment. I do not have a copy of Windows right now, so PPC development will be stopped until I get Windows 7. Nintendo DS projects will resume as soon as I get the environment set up. Also, I have reopened my PayPal account, so donations are being accepted again.

Hope it will be a good year!

Homebrewcast.net

Posted By Max on July 29th, 2009

Some people have been asking why homebrewcast.net has a stupid GoDaddy domain parking page. The reason is, because I didn’t renew it in time. It is pending a domain name transfer over to x10hosting (our host before our last host that I use for domain name registration).

It’ll be back online very shortly.

Birthday Updates

Posted By Max on July 11th, 2009

Another year down and only one more to go until I have to find a new name instead of TeenDev. I want to stop thinking about me for a second and tell you about whats happening with AIMDS.

I haven’t worked on it for a little while, mostly because of summer school. Summer school is ending on Tuesday, so I intend to work on AIMDS endlessly for the next week. I want to have a fixed version out very soon. After that I will start adding in new features. I don’t want to put out a release date like I did for Halo 2D DS because it just disappointed people if I couldn’t meet the “deadline”.

I’ll just say, I want a fixed version out as soon as I can figure out the problem I am having with libFB.

Database Problem

Posted By Max on June 29th, 2009

Hey all,

I just want to let you guys know about some issues you may encounter while browsing the site. In the latest version of Joomla (1.5.11) there is a problem involving the modification of an SQL table which causes an override in the template loader which only alllows the default template to be loaded. I have come up with a workaround until the Joomla team finds a way to fix this. So, if after reloading a page and the page has a white background and has no style, please shoot me an email and I will try and take care of it.

Not Dead/Site Maintenance

Posted By Max on February 24th, 2009

I know its been a while since I last posts, but things… they are a brewin. I have not had time in the last month or so to do anything internet related. This month will be different. I am planning on having a Homebrewcast episode this next week, I’m getting closer to the release of The Daily Rag, I am planning on releasing some designs you can buy in the XtenDesign store, and I will start writing some stuff for the PSP. I’m also going to start updating a few things on here and tidying it up. I am also working on a new theme for this site, which I hope to have in place by April. Look forward to April, new things are coming!

Leaving the Dev Scene

Posted By Max on January 19th, 2009

I’m sorry, but I must add to the list of homebrew developers leaving this week.  However, my leaving is not because of some feud. I am afraid that I must cease all NDS developing I am doing because my DS Phat I have had since 2005 has just stopped working. I can no longer test any of my homebrew, so I am sorry that I will not be able to release FeeDS, bootlib 2.0, libload, and libsign. I will not be leaving the entire scene, though. I still do intend to participate in discussions. It’s been a great last few years developing, but all good things must come to an end eventually. Hopefully I will be able to participate in development of homebrew for the DSi when in comes out in April. Adios!

Large Hosting Troubles

Posted By Max on December 21st, 2008

ATTENTION EVERYONE!

For some reason every single one of my sites except for this one has been replaced by an ad page. This is because my host renewed it’s domain name too late so now the have to re-register it, so since the sites DNS settings are on the hosts domain names, it automatically transfers you to an ad page. I am in contact with WizzerdWerks (The company that owns my host), and they are trying to resolve this issue. I am making backups for precautionary measures.

Thank you for reading!
