The ACTA is an international trade agreement currently negociated by the European Union, the United States, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Australia as well as a few other countries, whose aim is to enforce copyright and tackle counterfeited goods (hence its acronym: Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement). The main problem with this treaty is that all the negociations [...]

Projects

Web Projects (active):

  • xenWMS (xTenDESIGN Website Management System) – Originally designed for use in managing the content on my old freelance site XtenDesign.net, I am adopting it for public use. It is programmed in PHP with MySQL database connectivity. I’m planning on adding SQLite support as well. My goal is to create a simple, functional, powerful, and easily customizable Content Management System for use on small personal sites, blogs, and developer sites. I’ve been actively developing this since 2008 and it has come a long way. I once hope to use it on this blog.

NDS Projects (None active)

These are here for archival purposes only. I know longer will update these or provide any support whatsoever. The DS scene is dead.

  • AIMDS – An AIM client for the DS based off of the source code of the obsolete client, DSAIM. Cancelled which caused butthurt amongst people who didn’t understand the challenges behind updating and improving on a grossly outdated and disorganized application.
  • Bootlib – A C library for booting DS homebrew. Because I like this one, I may update it if I feel so inclined.
  • DSdiag – A diagnostics utility for the DS. Comes standard with a old timey 8-bit interface. One of my completed projects.
  • FeeDS – An RSS reader for the DS. – Never completed. In fact I shouldn’t even have it on here. The farthest I got was having it download an RSS feed and display it. I stopped because I didn’t feel like making a GUI. I also realized no one wants to read RSS feeds on a DS. They’d rather do it on a phone or computer.
  • Flashcart OS (N) – A homebrew menu and loader based off of the R4 menu using bootlib. Used by a lot of people when Sakura came out. Won 10th Place in the Spring Neoflash Coding Competition. Ironically, it doesn’t work on the R4.
  • GBAMP Multiboot Selector – A selector menu for which multiboot utility to use. Useful utility for the time. Nice interface. Completed.
  • Halo 2D DS – A sidescrolling platformer for the DS based on the popular Halo series. Suffered from poor planning, delays, and overall disorganization. The game used a single menu binary and loaded up separate level binaries. It was my first game and I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I quit after I realized that no one wanted to play a repetitive platformer with a more than horrible story that took up 60MB. Not to mention it depended on the user having a card supported by Chishm’s loader which at the time was everything but an R4. Unfortunately, everyone used an R4.
  • MegaETK-TD – A sidescrolling platformer for the DS based on MegaMan. I picked it up from ETK. I fixed some bugs and added DLDI support. Consider it completed.
